1. Introduction
Tower Crane Mast Section is a steel structure with a normally square section, whose main mission is to provide the Tower Crane with sufficient height. Normally it is formed by lattice modules that facilitate the transport of the crane. For assembly, these modules will be joined by screws, all of which will be connected to the projected height. Its shape and dimension vary according to the necessary characteristics of weight and height.
Tower Crane Mast section is the main supporting of tower crane. It is made of steel trussed sections that are connected together during installation.
Based on required tower crane models, mast sections have several types of models. Among them, 1.2m*1.2m*3.0m, 1.6m*1.6m*3.0m, 2.0m*2.0m*3.0m type of mast sections are common used. 1.2m is S24 Mast Section for MC80 &MC85 Tower Cranes. 1.6m means the L44A1, L46A1 model mast section. 2.0m means L68B1, L68B2, L68B3 mast sections.
